EK NON-VTEC TO VTEC SWAP
Please help anyone that can. I've asking recently but not but one real help had replyed.
here's the swap outline: the car is a 98 automatic tranny civic dx hb (non-vtec). I've recently installed a 99 manual tranny civic ex motor only (keeping it an auto) used the original 98 auto engine harness and used a 98 automatic civic ex ecu. first off i noticed the iac is different (has a 2 wire iac and i have a 3 wire plug) so i did the katman re-pin on the ecu and the plug swap and as soon as i start the car i get a mil light (code 1509). I've tried many combinations using different throttle bodies and iac's of sort nothing.
the only way i could get it to work with no check engine light and to run properly is to runt he cooling lines to the 2 wire iac and zip tie the 3wire iac to the firewall and plug the 3 wire plug into it runs and works great but i know this is not the way it is suppose to be done and want it the right way.
if any one could please help with this swap it would be greatly applauded.
