Default Do I need to change the Injector Connectors?

I am merging two harness currently for a H22/EG swap. The civic harness is from a 1993 Civic LX and the prelude from a 92-95 JDM H22A. I know you have to change the injector connectors, but I am wondering why. I have closely studied the connectors on both harnesses and the connectors are identical. I can not see a difference, inside or out. If I need to change them, I will, but just wondering if they should always look identical. Any help would be appreciated.
