D15B SOHC VTEC head on a D16Y7?
Can it be done? A friend of mine just bought a 97 DX coupe and he wants to add a vtec head but we can only find d15b (JDM) in our junkyard and ordering is out of the question.
Can we use the head and a MSD rpm activated switch for vtec? What about the dizzy plugs? Can we use the dizzy and just rewire it wi obd2 plugs or is it a no no?

Sup man, I did this swap on my 96 d16y7 block, in my hatchback, I just went to honda and got a timing belt and head gasket for my 92 d16z6 head and threw it on there. as far as the dizzy goes i used a 93 vx distributor and wired on the obd2 dizzy plug, all the wires are the same down to the color, but the obd2 dist. only has one plug rather than 2.
