Default Compression of an ls-vtec ???

Does any one know the compression for and ls vtec with a stock b16a head and a stock b18b1 bottom end ? Any information would help or if u have the formula so that i could compute it my self for future builds thanks.

What would the compression ration be if i put b16a pistons in the ls bottom end on the ls rods and crank and ran that head ? Any help is greatly appriciated sorta in a rush to get in to car but i need to know this so that i don't get to high if compression if i decide to got wiht a higher compression pistons..........thanks

The compression will be lower than a stock B16A. Using a completely stock B18A/B block, stock B16A head and an OEM 3 layer headgasket will put compression in the 9.5:1 - 9.6:1 range.

If you use the PR3 B16A pistons, it will raise the compression significantly. It will be around 11.3:1 - not a really good idea for a stock bottom end and little to no tuning...
