Default Cheap swap(D16z6)... worth my time????

Hey guys, I have an oppurtunity to swap in a d16z6 into my 94 dx hatchback. Problem is I dont have an EX/SI tranny. But the whole swap can be put in for dirt cheap. Would running the d16z6 with my dx tranny provide me a noticeable gain in power. I mean it does have like 25+ more hp. Thanks...

Yes, I'd definitely go for it. I am not sure if you will have shifting problems with the DX tranny, but I don't believe you will. The DX have longer gears.

You will just need to wire up 2 wires to the ECU which is VTEC wiring -- which is Oil Pressure (D6) and Solenoid (A4).

If you use the DX harness, then you will also need to run Oil Pressure ground which goes to the thermostat housing.

Easy easy stuff.
