BAR approval sticker
Is it really necassary to get a bar sticker in cali if you put a newer ls motor in an eg hatch? Put a zc in an older si and never had to get a bar sticker for it, and never had problems with smog. just curious.

If you go to get your car smogged, and the smog station thinks your engine has been swapped, chances are they'll send you tot he BAR ref. To save yourself this hassle, you could go and get everthing looked over by the BAR ref and get a a BAR sticker. With that, smog stations shouldn't give you any trouble.
