Car will not start!! Info Inside Auto-Manual Troubles....
I am really getting frustrated with this shell that I bought off of Mr. Sparkle on h-t. First off it was a automatic originally...he never felt the need to tell me that. We did the transaction at night time and I should have checked everything but I saw the car running with a b16/manual swap in it a couple of nights before the took out the swap so I didnt think anything of it. Well to make a long story short he ended up pulling the motor and I bought it as a shell...a messed up one...but whatevers..
This is in a 93 civic ex.
I put a stock d16z6 motor in to just turn around and sell because the body had been in an accident also..something that he forgot the mention again...I got everything in.
correct wire harness(93 civic ex manual harness)
manual p28
I went to turn on the car...just turned the ignition on a couple times to prime the fuel. Went to crank it over but it is dead. Nothing. No check engine light or anything. I even changed out the starter in the car. Battery has enough juice. What else is there? Anyone else ever have this problem?
All you auto-manual converter experts please help me out. I need to get this car out of my garage and the potential buyer needs the car bad. Ive searched around but there is nothing specific about what you need to do. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

theres 2 fat wires on the harness by the shifter, you need to connect the 2 and it will start right up. sucks you bought a new starter.

there are a couple of wires. do you know the exact color? the thing is that the guy had the car running fine without doing this to it? could it be anything else? I also disconnected the alarm just in case there was some kind of kill switch that was acting up. As for the starter i got a good deal on it and can resell it so no worries there. anybody else??

auto cars have a neutral safety switches on the shifters. see if u see a rectangular box with a white slider in it. it needs to be in either park or neutral for the car to start if it wasn't removed. this also makes a good kill swith if anyone does the conversion on there auto cars

try putting the car to key on and jumping the wire on the starter in the engine bay to see if it turns over and starts. If this works then there is something wrong with the starter signal wire from the ignition. Which u could run a wire straight from the igniton to the starter if u wanted to.

The 2 wires on the plastic slider thing are the 2 fatest wires. I belive they are black/white and black/red. Anyways, just connect the 2 fatest wires together and it should start up. I took them out of the plastic slider and just sodered them.
