Default mini me and manual swap combo..now the car won't start

I picked up a 98 civic automatic for a great price with an extra y8 head with intake manifold. The manual swap is complete using the write up by Luster Kid on ht and mini me swap, the car turn but won't start. here's what i have done to test it so far:

1. I know that the starter works because i took it out and gave it power and it spins.
2. The distributor and coil are fine because I swap my distributor with my friends car and it both work.
3. I know it's not the battery or the fuses because I got a new battery and check all the fuses as well.
4. There are not check engine light when the key is on the on position. however the automatic gauge cluster is on parked.
5. I've tried to switch to a manual ex ecu P2P ecu to see if it help but there seems to be one connector extra on the Y7 engine wiring harness.
6. I took the plugs out to see if it sparks but it doesn't so it could be the problem but i don't know exactly what causing it not to spark.

keep in mine I'm using the y7 engine wiring harness so could it be that I'm missing something that y8 engine wiring harness has. please any help would be great.

My thoughts would be the clutch switch was wired wrong.

When you turn the key, does it even move the starter? Does it just spin the flywheel, or not move at all?

KOEO = Key on, Engine off...you stated that with KOEO your check engine light did not come on and that you are not getting spark. The check engine light SHOULD come on as a self test when you turn the key on. Sounds to me like you have a communication problem with the ecu and the sensor in the distributor that tells the coil when to fire...

^^^that make sense, but do you know what i could do to test why it's not communicating with the dizzy. When I try to start the car, the starter move and i can see the timming belt and all the other belt move.

I must have missed it.

The car turns over but doesnt start? Did you check the usual? Spark, fuel, compression?

You wired up the wires for the starter incase if the starter isnt turning?

Also if you dont get a CEL at the start then its more then likely a ground.

any more advice. I think i'm gonna have to buy the y8 engine wiring harness. I haven't done the wiring for the iacv but i don't think that has anything to do with the engine not starting.

well i finally have it started and as was stated above it was a missing ground wire. But now the car is idling real rough, I'm thinking because I haven't wiring for the IACV. I read the write up on honda tech for the wirng the y7 wiring harness to work with the y8 but it wasn't clean. does anyone has pictures of what it should look like. thanx
