cannot scan obd2 codes- after swap? is somthing pinned wrong?
hey i just did a itr swap into a 98 ek, check engine lights is on but im not running
a 2nd o2 sensor. and i cannot use my snap on scanner to read the fault codes
it simply wont communicate with it? could somthing be pinned wrong>? everything on the car works fine. and runs great. let me know

also after driving a few miles the check engine light turns on. Im guessing this is a emissions related obd2 code, but i dont know cause i cant scan! help!

Are you using a JDM OBD2 ECU?
If yes, search no further because JDM ECUs and US OBD2 scan tools have no clue how to talk to one another.
So since a scanner won't work, jump the 2-pin connector under the dash to get the blink codes.

correct. JDM ECU and US Scan tools are not complainant. Also, since you are in VA, you will not be passing your state inspection next time around. You have some work to do. I can explain in more detail if needed, you can PM us.

i believe the ecu is jdm. i tryed the blink code thing and found out theres no bulb in the cluster. but i will try again tomorrow. thanks for the info.... i hope to just go chipped p28- hondata or somthing
