Failed MD emissions today got a question?
I passed everything except the OBD-2 communication..when they hooked up the OBD-2 connector thing they said it was unable to communicate. I dont understand i just did my swap.. 97 type-r in EK hatch...i dont hav any computer programming or anything except a VAFC-2

OBD2 is the "Onboard Diagnostics" system, it's a name for the electronics system of just about any car after 1996. I have no idea how you'd make it work if it isn't already, but one thing that might be a possibility is if you're not running the rear O2 sensor. That'll throw a CEL, and you definitely won't be passing emissions.

If you have a JDM ECU, you are fucked.
JDM OBD2 does not equal US OBD2. Scantools that are able to talk to OBD2 US ECU's will not communicate with 'OBD2' JDM ECU's.
