d16z6 or d16y8?
I have a d15 and want to do a fairly straight forward swap. After looking into a h22 and a b18 I've found that it's outside my 2500ish budget which leaves me with a d16 engine. My question is why would someone choose the y8 vs the z6 and what's the difference? I've done some price checking and found that I can get the engine, trans and ecu for about 800, and after adding turbo, better cam, stronger rods and pistons, high flow fuel pump and bigger injectors I might be able to hit 200+ HP pretty easy and still be able to use it as a daily driver. It will be going into a 93 del sol s. Any other suggestions to help reach or break my HP goal while staying in my budget would be appreciated.

Re: d16z6 or d16y8? (Pavix)
So I've done some searching and found that the difference is the tranny and the intake mani, and since I'm going the turbo route I'll be replacing the intake manifold so it comes down to tranny. I guess I'll try my luck on the stock z6 tranny and upgrade if I need too. I've also seen people talk about a 300HP daily driver with the right tune. Hopefully I'll be able to find a tuner to do my car after it's built.
