B16A2 w/ 97 GSR ECU??? no VTEC???
i was wondering if anyone can tell me how it is possible this combination of a B16A2 and a 97 GSR ECU can run. one is OBDI and another is OBD2, i heard there is an adapter u can use but dunno much. and i cannot feel the vtec kicking in. could someone tell me wat is wrong here?

Hold on.
you have some wrong info flying around.
the b16a2 is out of the 99-00 civic SI
the second gen b16 (b16a) can be obdI
so im ASSUMING you are talking about a second gen b16.
also, why are you using a GSR ecu. it engages vtec at 4400rpm and thats far too early for the b16 cams to make power.
more: what year car and what kind of car.

i KNOW obdI dosent, unplugged them on my friends GSR to prove a point.
ive never heard of OBDII doing it eithre. but i could be wrong.

I ran my Civic with a 98 GSR and a Skunk2 intake manifold and it never threw a code.
It'a got a JDM 96 ITR ECU in it now though.
