auto block into manual CRX
ive got an LS block and im looking to go LS/vtec, my question is this: the block from the LS was from an auto, and my car is a manual CRX is there anything that needs to be changed besides the tranny and flex plate to flywheel?

Re: auto block into manual CRX (hondavtecfanatic)
I think that there is no difference between an auto and manual engine block or crank. I assume you are talking about an Ingegra LS engine, and you know you will need a mount kit (and axles, etc...) to put an integra motor into the CRX.

The LS longblocks are no different from the 5-spd counterpart and the auto setup, per the Helms manual. Same specs, same parts used, etc. Only longblock, that I'm aware of, that uses different spec cams (rest of the parts are the same, except for the flex plate) is the 1st gen B16A. Even the 2nd gen B16A auto setups are the same as 5-spd B16A2 motors -- I know because we've had JDM auto B16A hydro setups come through our shop and we mic'd the cams for the hell of it.
