96 GS-R swap into 92 Civic CX (hesitation when accelerating)
I'm working on a friend's 92 Civic CX with a 96 GS-R swap, wire harness, and 95 p72 ecu. The car isn't throwing a check engine light but sputters/hesitates when reving and when accelerating. Hesitation is at 1500 rpm when vehicle isn't moving and varies when driving. when driving, hesitation occurs at 2000 to 4500 rpm in any gear at wide open throttle or cruising. I checked the TPS sensor and it check it out okay at .5 volts closed and 4.5 volts wide open. Any ideas?

Check the vacum lines with all the vacum lines on the gsr manifold its easy to switch them, or maybe the tps and iac connectors got switched. It should be one of those.

thanks for the reply. I'll give what you suggested a try. The car is really acting if the TPS is out of adj. I even tried a known good TPS anybody have any ideas?

Try tune up, and After the swap did you have any problem with vtec working or doing any rewiring the vtec. I have 92cx with 94 gsr motors. No vtec.
