civic with gsr swap cuts out at 5000 rpm

I just did a gsr swap in my civic cx and when i get to around 5000 it cuts out allthe time whats wrong

Is the check engine light on? Your vtec solenoid or vtec switch may be malfuncitong. Low oil can cause this problem too.
