92-93 YS1 Tranmission with 94+ B-series clutch
I have a YS1 92-93 cable transmission in my car. I've searched and gathered the following information.
(1) All b-series pressure plates are the same.
(2) 92+ b-series transmissions clutchs discs are the same
(3) 94+ throwout bearings from a hydro tranny are different then those from a cable tranny.
Conclusions: To get a 94+ clutch and pressure plate to work in my 92-93 YS1 cable transmision I would have to get a 90-93 throwout bearing.
Did I get this right?
Thanks.

cable and hydro clutch discs are different. The cables have a smaller spline.

Re: 92-93 YS1 Tranmission with 94+ B-series clutch (skunked)
Are you 100% sure? From what I've been reading the older style 91 down have the smaller spline and the newer 92-93 share the same size spline at the hydro trannies.

Every cable tranny I have seen has a smaller spline. Anything is possible......

Your partially right, 90-91 cable trannies are the small spline, 92-93 ys1's take the large spline disk just like the 94-current bseries motors. You can also swap gearsets and lsd's into the 92-93 ys1 cable transmissions from the later models

Re: 92-93 YS1 Tranmission with 94+ B-series clutch (PURPLETERROR aka BIGMATT)
Thanks for the response. Is what I stated correct that the throwout bearings are different and I would have to get a 90-93 throwout bearing to make the 94-current bseries clutch work in a 92-93 ys1?
