Default B18C Starter hitting Pressure plate!?

Hey, i'm in the middle of my first swap and ran into a problem. We just got everything together and were doing our final checks on the engine before we started pulling the old engine out and notcied the engine wouldnt turn over when turing the crank pully. After finally finding the problem, we discovered the pressure plate was hitting the starter housing I have a ACT flywheel and a SPEC clutch. What would cause this? Has anyone had this problem before? What could cause this? Help would be nice... we are sitting here scratching our heads as you read this, so help a brother out... Thanks.
