2000 honda civic d16y8 swap to jdm b18c gsr problem
Hello everyone my name is Luis,
Couple of issues after the swap
before swap 2000 Honda civic d16y8 automatic
after jdm b18c gsr manual with p72 ecu
also i'm using a jumper harness, and I have cleaned throttle body and iacv
currently have a check engine light, but when I went to autozone to pull the code, the computer said no check engine, but the light was on. I'm not sure if the problem is that in the morning I had a dead battery and had to get a jump start. Is that the reason why they can't read the code?
Another question is do I still need both upstream and downstream oxygen sensors?
2000 honda civic Auto/d16y8 swap to jdm Manual/b18c gsr problem. The engine is in; conversion is done, car is moving. But the problem I have is when I accelerate to 1500rpm the idle hesitates and jumps from about 1500-2000rpm. Almost like 2 step. if I try to accelerate between 1500 to 3000; the idle stays at 1500-2000. Until I accelerate hard enough. After 3000rpm the idle is perfect.

So your using an OBD1 ecu? If so you'll have to pull the codes using the jumper method as it won't read with the scanner on OBD1.
