1st Gen B16 into EG?
I'm looking at dropping a complete 1st gen B16a into my hatch with the cable tranny included in the swap as well. So far this is what i understand that is needed to make the swap work on my OBD1 car:
-engine and tranny of course
-hasport engine mounts w/ hydro to cable tranny conversion
-DA integra axles
-DC integra shift linkage
-OBD1 injectors
-OBD1 distributor from a DOHC VTEC
-P30 ecu (or alternative)
Getting the engine in the car is not the problem, but mostly the wiring. I've done the same swap on my friend's DA integra. The distributor, injectors, ecu, and all associated VTEC sensors should hook up without a hitch....but what about other connections?
How will my speedo work? The cable tranny uses a cable driven speedo while my hatch uses an electronic sensor doesn't it? Will there be any problems wiring up the alternator connector, map, or tps? Thanks for your help....i'm tired of messing with the little D

Re: 1st Gen B16 into EG? (D15powerd)
You will not have any problems if you just use a vss from a hydro tranny. It will bolt in the tranny and your harness will plug up to it. The alternator I would just go to your local junk yard and purchase a 94-95 ls alternator. It will make for a cleaner harness and less chance for mistakes. (not saying you dont know what you are doing just my opinion) What harness are you going to use?

As mentioned just use an elctrical VSS, it can be taken from a D or B series tranny.

No. OBD0 and OBD1 have the same plug style.

First and even most second gen B16's will not have a MAP sensor mounted on the throttle body. You can reuse about any stock Honda/Acura MAP sensor and connect it to the port on the throttle body then to the sensor itself with a small vaccum hose. You can mount the MAP alsmost anywhere.

They are the same plug style, nothing to change and no issues.
