Default Nitrous?

Me and a buddy at work have been pondering this for awhile

Who here runs a shot of nitrous on their S? What would be The largest SAFE shot to run on a WET kit?

We are already pretty pleased with the stock performance, we both have turbo cars for speed but we just want an extra kick out of the s2k at times....

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I know honda boys that have been running 100+ wet shot on their B series motors for years now with no problems...But you would have to be an idiot to shoot that much on your s2k, unless you dont care about it exploding.

Honestly I would only do a 50 shot if you want your motor to last awhile, people always say Stay clear from nitrous or your motor will explode!! Wrong! It wont as long as you dont over shoot, and you have enough fuel in there you will be fine, not to mention it helps get the carbon deposit off the top of your pistons haha.

IMO I would only shoot a 50 shot if you are that set on going with Nitrous.

you can say that with superchargers and turbos also, even all motor, just needs to be tuned and it will be fine.

when will people learn...as long as you run a power added correctly, and w/ all the proper precautions, you'll be fine. half *** if, and you'll pay for it in the long run...

people were saying the same thing about honda engines and turbocharging them years ago "honda's and turbos make motors go BOOM"

exactly what i said, I hate stupid people who think because a friend of a friend of a friend blew his motor, then you ask questions and you figure out he was shooting a 100 shot on the stock fueling, or something rediculassly stupid like that. Nitrous is harder then any of the other power adders, due to such a drastict burst at a specific time, but if you have the fuel and arent being a complete idiot about it. You will be fine for a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY long time. Like said above if you half *** it, wave good bye to your motor because it wont like it.

50 shot + Colder Plugs = a-okay in moderation.

I ran a NX EXpress 100 shot Direct Port system in my old BB6 Prelude, with the right stuff of course, and never had any problems whatsoever. The car had an AEM CAI, DC Headers, Greddy EVO exhaust, stock head and block.......when I bought the kit I bought an MSD Digital 6 to retard my timing everytime the nitrous would come on, an MSD Window RPM activated switch to turn the nitrous on and off, Greddy/NGK cold plugs (2 steps colder), and a Walboro fuel pump for better fuel flow, and like I stated above never had any problems other than check engine lights from running below threshold sometimes, but nothing major. I loved the way my Lude ran on the dope, especially with race gas, I took my friend for a ride one time and he said it felt like I was boosted, and this came from a guy that drives a Cybernation Turbocharged DC5....... I had some good kills in that Lude, the kit is for sale for anyone that is interested'

Are you running anything else? i.e. colder plugs, warmer, purge, etc?
