I am just wondering what mod did everyone first put on their cars?

 

1. Lower it

2. Exhaust

those are my MUST DO's

 

track day (better rotors and pads) then a new 4.77 FD

 

yea the different rear end gear rocks.. thats the best bang for the buck!

First mod we did was a Redline oil change...then replaced the **** *** stock radio and front speakers...

lol...i guess i should have hinted that we're not doing a damn thing to the car. Mechanically anyways...cosmetic wise, thats another story. And that oil aint cheap, so it may as well be a mod...

conventional oil is cheap

u can get it for a dollar a bottle. s2k's need about 5..5 dollar mod

now, synthetics..there are deals..

for example, at pepboys if you buy their calender for 1 dollar, there is a coupon inside that has buy 3 get 3 free bottles of mobil 1 oil. so it will cost u about 2.50-2.75 a bottle for synthetic..

NIshant...i'd agree w/ you on the gears, but not 4.77 for the track. I'd use that for auto-x only. 4.44 or 4.57 for track use. I'm looking to get some 4.44 by fall

actually gears depends on track. all depends on the turns and straights. also scot who runs honda challenge (came in 2nd i think last yr) runs 4.77

i know one guy who is in the process of buying one more diff so he can have all 3 gear sets (4.1, 4.4, 4.77). he plans to swap dependant one which track he goes to.

i myself have found the 4.77 great at the tracks i go to. before where i ran out of rpm's, i am in the higher gear at about 7800rpm. it has worked out great for me. by far the best mod i have done

 

i have driven the 2.0 with 4.77s and the 2.2 with 4.77s..... 2 totally different cars. the 2.0 was awesome slamming threw the gearbox ripping tire!!!!! and the 2.2 setup with 4.77s was alittle more spaced out.. almost perfect for an NA setup. with boost kiss the rear tires goodbye and as soon as you get traction C YAAA!!

hey, any pics of your car w/em on? how much were the Advans btw? size/specs.

 

i did springs and shocks. my next move would be rear swaybar and brakes but the car is just too damn slow so i'm saving for boost.
