Default Inline Pro HG

My Aem ems will be here tomorrow and I should have the turbo on my car within 3 weeks. I'm trying to decide weather to use Inline pros head gasket to lower compression or not. I'm either going to run 7-8psi with the stock motor with plans of building another block in the future or installing the head gasket and running 12-14psi daily. Does anyone have any experiance with the head gasket and how much boost are you other turbo guys running on the stock motor?

Thanks
Josh

not the best way but do-able, same concept as running an FMU instead of larger injectors with standalone. It's all do-able but you're better off saving yourself the trouble and labor $$$ for something esle down the road. Just wait till you have your engine built.

As far as the head gasket goes, as long as you have fail proof things done to your car and are careful with it theres no reason for having any problems.I am getting my set up and I am currently using the inline pro headgasket (stainless steel). I used the aem ems for tunning, you can pull back timing to prevent knock.I am also using aquamist to prevent detonation (water/methanol injection) I got injectors and a fuel pump and a fuel pressure regulator. I am not going past 12-14 psi and I wont drive the car every day at that amount of boost. If you dont beat on the car, like launch it, dump the clutch, drift, go over 100 mph every second of the day there is no reason why you should have any problems just pamper it and you'll be fine. There are several s2k owners who have dynoed well over 400 rwhp on stock motors with the right stuff (yea it wont last you for ever) but there are several owners with over a year of running this amount of boost on stock motors and have last. There is actually member of s2ki that brought his motor apart after a year or so and using the methanol/water injection has helped him dramatically, the pistons had no signs of abuse at all.Look it up on s2ki.com his use name is fperra.hope my info helped.Good luck with the project.

With the stock head gasket I would not recommend going past 9 psi and only if your tuner is running the aem ems and is experience with it, and aquamist is a must for 9 psi and stock motor and head gasket.

REMEMBER:you wanna pull back timing with the aem ems to prevent knock and use the aquamist to prevent detonation.A MUST FOR PAST 7 psi. on stock motor

With the 9 psi, & aem ems with proper tunnig you should be any where in between 320-330 rwhp as to the other s2000's I ve seen and read about with a similar set up

Don't worry I wan't planning to run a no hg at all. But thanks for the heads up. I will be tunning the AEM. I have never played with the Aem yet but have tuned many hondata and electromotive systems before. I'll probably just run 7psi for now and build another shortblock over the next few months.
