Default problems and more problems.....

today i decided to change my fuel filter and along with that i installed a AEM rail & reg, and adjusted to 45psi liek it says. my neighbor who i just met today said he was awesome mechanic, i told him my problems, i said how i replaced the internal coil with an external, so we checked the timing it was way off...you know how the white line is supposed to match the lil > timing mark, it was higher than that, so i lined up the white line inside the > mark perfectly it idle fine and everythign i took it out for a test drive and bogged and hesitated like a mofu. It died in middle of road, so i pushed it out of the road, played with the timing is was off again, i musta bumped it when trying to tighten the 3 screws down, so i got it dead center again. Drove it back home and now it will only REV to 4k RPM....Driving home i realized i never jumped the ECU pin for CEL's. So if anyone could did i time it right or no? oh yeah its a 92 si--->JDM H22. any input is much appreciated. thanks.

this board runs alittle slow,

if the car ran fine before you or your friend touched it then try and make a readable list of everything you did before it was runing good.

yes that is how you set the timing, well you need to have the service pin connector jumped before you try and set thet iming.. even if you timing was a couple of degrees the car would run, there is something else you did.

nothing, it just isn't a very accurate way of checking the timing.

there is something else wrong with your car.

well, how did you set the timing gun to 0 or 15. If you set the gun to 0 you should of been aligned up with the yellow mark, if set on 15 it should be with the white mark. As of the jumped wire it is only to keep the mark steady and not fluctuate whene testing, but the Prelude dosn't Fluctuate that much.

You win...

Replacing the fuel rail with a much larger flowing one on a stock h22 when you already have a problem with a fuel system code being thrown will not help the problem at all... Is that not obvious?

Fix the problem before you go off modifying things such as fuel rail and regulators... Code 43 is fuel supply issues. thats where you should start your troubleshooting...

6.5k is limp mode as well...
You pissed me off once being ignorant, but I am going to help you so maybe you can learn something here... The CEL didnt cut on until you got there right? When do you use the most fuel? Does it sound feasible your having fuel cutout and thus, throwing the code? How sure are you the injectors are right? I would flow test them and hope you have the injectors that match up to the ECU.. Research peak and hold vs saturated...

Did you remove the injector screens and clean them?
