je piston compression
i was wondering if anyone knows how much of a difference the 11.5:1 je's will perform compared to the stock compression 10.0:1. i plan on running a small shot of nos, like 75 shot and am trying to decide between the two compression ratios. ive talked to je and they suggest the 10.0:1's but i want the 11.5's. they say no nos with the 11.5's. i figure theyre forged and i was running a 75 shot on the stock cast pistons and didnt have any problems so.......just seeing what anyone thought or if anyone has the 11.5's. wana know how much more power on street they have then the 10.0's. without the nos that is.
1 compression point is good for about 10whp. If you run nitrous, the lower the compression the better. Sure you can run nitrous with 11.5:1 on pump gas, if you want to melt your pistons. 10:1 is a good safe compression to stay with if i were you. I also hope you know about sleeving your block as well if you run JE's.
