Few engine questions
For starters I was wondering if any of you could tell me what motor this is. Somebody decided to cut my engine grounds which if I'm correct caused my motor to try to ground through my throttle cable and melted the coating on the cable causing it to stick. I need to know if I can just take off the current throttle cable and get all the melted rubber out of the hole it goes through in the firewall and reuse it or will I need a new one. If I need a new one I need to know what motor this is in order to get it.
Also I would be very greatful if anybody on here could tell me how to get the throttle cable out of the firewall

That appears to be an h23 motor. You should be able to feed the cable threw the firewall after you disconnect it from the pedal. And you can clean the cable and try it out.
sorry for your problems. if you look in the faq section it has information regarding your engine type. Also we have a section the faq for helms that will tell you to replace your cable
Thanks guys I managed to get the cable off though. There was a clip behind the petal but I was beginning to think it wasnt a clip because it wouldnt undo. Come to find out it was a clip it was just melted together from where my engine was grounding through the throttle cable.
As far as reusing the cable the rubber coating melted down into the spring that goes around the actual cable and dried dont suppose theres any way to get it out is there?
