Broken throttle cable?!?
On my way home the other night, the accel. pedal started sticking and was very hard to get throttle. I somehow made it home and looked today and it appears that the pedal is stuck and there is a cable that pulled through the firewall. The wire I think is the throttle cable (hope not) that broke and is no longer connected to the rest of the throttle cable on the TB. The cable is still atached there, but I think it broke somewhere between the firewall and just on the other side of the firewall (inside the engine bay)....
how much of a bitch is it to replace the cable? just get a used one and run it all the way through?

not a big deal at all. Give the plastic connector on the firewall about a half a turn and it pulls out, then get upside down under the steering wheel and detach it from the pedal (by hand)
Theres prolly a cruise control cable under there too if you have it so make sure you get the right one.

if you can pull the on the TB side of the cable and it comes out of the sleeve with some or no resistance than its done for sure. it's not hard to replace at all and you can replace with a used cable in good condition.
heres how: use tape to secure the pedal side of the new cable to the sleeve of the old cable on the TB side, pull through the firewall and recconect in the same way you disconnected it.
