Default Compression Testing?

Well I just did my first compression test since I put in my swap and am curious as to if everything is still OK!!

Just FYI when I FIRST put in my H22 I did a comp. test and I never looked at it myself. A friend read it while I sat in the car and turned the key. He said then that it was 205-210 on all four!

Now I did one today and the rusults were 190, 210, 210, 220! Since the first seemed kind of low I reran it and it came out at 200-205

So my final was
1- 200-205
2- 210
3- 210
4- 220

Is this normal? acceptable?

Ideally, you don't want to have a gap of more then ten or so from the highest to lowest number, but I would still say that you're good

How much should it cost to have one done by a shop?

So a rebuild wouldn't be necessary based on just these results?

Thanks

as long as you see less than a 15% variation, you're good..your numbers look great

get your self a compression gauge and spark plug adapter, pull out your spark plug wires, pull out the spark plug from the cylinder being tested...thread the compression tester in...

go inside the car, crank 4-5 times and record the numbers...continue till the end...most people start from cylinder 1 and end at 4
