Default Compression Test

I have a Euro-R engine and the compression test came out 190 all the way across. Does that sound about right or is it low?

As long as the numbers are all the same you're fine.

But seriously, i thought Euro-R engines should have higher compression numbers than that. Any one else wanna put their .02 in?

ok well 120's would be low. But 190 all across is most likely fine.

I did a compression test on an Euro R yesterday. Numbers came out 225 accross the board. I also did one on a F20B with 230 across the board as well.

So you think 190 is a bit low then?

Yes, but was the motor cold or fully warmed up? Done at WOT until the guage wouldnt read any higher?

^ This makes a difference on what your readings come out too. But 190 is not that bad off, you should be around 215-230 across the cylinders. Go out there and give that Euro-R motor another try

Well, my friend did the compression test. I wasn't there. He said it was fully warmed up though. And if it was done at WOT, i'm not sure, i would assume so, i think he knows what he's doing, lol. I'll check it out, maybe give it another try. Thanks guys.

Yea tha would be the best. Give it as many hits until the guage doesnt read any higher.
