Okay Im trouble shooting my code 22 today.

So far, everything is connected to the ECU correctly and grounded right. What else could it be?

Do you have a FSM? If you do look at page 6-77, or get a PDF version. It has a very good walk through for that problem

a new thread for every problem that you're already discussing in your aftermath thread is tarded

you need a meter to test anything electrical. if you are going to be checking for grounds and continuity only, a test light would probably get you by. but a multimeter is much better

and x2 on what the guy above me said, that page in the FSM has an exact, step by step walkthrough to diagnose that CEL.

I already have, taken it off cleaned it, reinstalled it. Later that night after I did so, I started thowing my code 22. Before that I had no Vtec either. Im hoping its a faulty switch, I read through what it could be in my manual, and its a whole lot of equipment Ill need to get to run all tests. I hope its easy.

It didnt work. I reset the ecu, spliced the wires together and wahlah! Code 22 still there. Any insight as to what the problem is?

Well that blows. I pulled out my ecu and rechecked everything. Okay so, the Vtec wire may have been slightly out of the wiring harness for the ECU. I readjusted everything and turned the car on.

No CEL light. Whoa who!!!

But no Vtec either. I let the car warm up to operating temp, and no vtec. I hit the gas and let it stay at 6k rpm for a good ten seconds. Nothing.

I checked the oil. Its golden brown. Ahh thats so nice. But there is no vtec

I figured Id check to see if theres any cels, just for the hell of it. And guess what I find.

No code 12, 22, 1, or 10.

But a solid cel light. Boo Hoo. This blows monkey *****. Now how am I supposed to trouble shoot this. I think Im gonna start a new thread entitled Solid cel. Only because it will get more attention right away as opposed to my on going novel called the Aftermath.
