Better Late Than No Graph At All.... I Guess
Thanks to Joel for putting the graphs together. (Joel, I got the run numbers backwards) These runs were made 8/1 in about 102 degree weather
The Blue graph is the current 4-2-1 that Corey is running and the Red is the old 4-1 that 2point6 has now. All that is on the car is the header with 2-1/2" tubing and an 18" long resonator that dumps at the end of the tunnel, stock ECU, CAI and lightened fylwheel. Corey can update if I'm off.
This 4-2-1 configuration beats the 4-1 upto 4900 and then from 5800 on. It looses in that 900 rpm between. This is the area that I'm trying to correct with the next version. The current 4-2-1 doesn't like the VTEC crossover too much. Here are some comparisons.
4-2-1 4-1
4000 95.8 whp 92.0
7200 180.2 177.9

Dang Dave, good work! I forgot, but does the new 4-2-1 bolt on w/o the cutting the sub frame? What kind of collector are you using?

Nice numbers I didn't expect it from the 4-2-1. How will a hi-flow cat and the rest of the piping plus muffler effect those numbers...guesstimate.

what was the baseline before the header? numbers look good!
Yes, just header, CAI and lightened flywheel, nothing else.

Re: .... making headers ? (leptolude)
The only fitment issues I'm working towards is clearing the sub frame with no or vey little modification. The collector will be 2-1/2" so the cat and B pipe will require modifcation for either the 4th or 5th generations. It will NOT be a bolt on piece.

Re: .... making headers ? (SMSP)
sorry, still confused, are you making a head-to-downpipe-ala-spoon'sH22header? or are you constructing a full head-to-cat piece?
let me know if your planning on producing somthing, i was going to do a header next, my plan was to get and OBX stainless (dont laugh, same as DC and costs $160) and then get a 2"- 2.5" collector from burns stainless, and then have it fit to a new cat and then to my brullen exhaust, all welded, no flanges. BUT if your working on a whole setup id rather wait. LMK and good luck with the company!!!!!

Re: .... making headers ? (leptolude)
Thanks
I'm not concerned where the collector ends. A 2-1/2" cat wil bolt to the header and then the cat back will start from that point.
