Default DC header 4-1 or 4-2-1 ???

my D16a pull up almost to 8000rpm (and still strong) even it using standart cams. On the dyno result ,the peak was at 6800 but the power still flat to 7800 (i think my Unichip ECU make it work that way)

Acording to my gear ratio calculation , i'll need the power arround 5000 - 8000 rpm.
Im confuse wich DC headder to buy , 4 into 1 or 4 into 2 into 1 ??

Regards

Get a 4-2-1 header for low end power and a 4-1 for top end power.

i would go with the 4-1 because when you are running your car, it pretty much stays in vtec. so when you are racing, low end power isn't going to help a whole lot. i wish i had gotten the 4-1.

ahh yes, but if it is a daily driver, how often are you above 6000 rpm? I like the 4-2-1 better because it seems to be more beneficial for me as a daily driver\occasional racer. Just me opinion.

Yea 4-2-1 is for mid range, and the 4-1 high end.

Comptech's 4-2-1 made good power when compared to 4-1 headers in the Great Header Test.

Good point. That's why I got the 4-2-1. Yea, I'd love some more power in the VTEC range, but its not worth the decrease in midrange, and the fact my GSR is a daily driver, and frankly I would push the car past 6k rpms alot more with a 4-1 (which I'm trying to avoid doing all of the time b/c of high miles). Plus I figured my car could use a bit more mid range power.

Thats why my comptech is on the way from auto salon, yea my dc 4-1 may have it by 1 hp at like 8k,but the comptech does better threw most of the rev range.

thanks for all of your oppinions

yeah ,but comptech need a lot more dollars then DC.

Now I think i'd better choose the 4-1 configuration, after i see the dyno chart between 4-1 vs 4-2-1 on DC's sites.
The 4-2-1 only strong below 4750, and it was only lil bit more from the 4-1.
and the 4-1 was give a very lot power above 4750.

And i only had one words in my head. And it was : "HORSEPOWER"

Thanks

Yea after research i found the dc 4-2-1 to be crap, the comptech gives hp threw almost the whole rev range. And it was tested on the ITR and produced the same power curves as the 4-1
