best shift
what if you have a computer chip that allows you to surpass that and hit 9600?....how far do you think you should go before loosing power and doin some uneeded engine wear???? i know it depends on what shape the motor is in, and how stock it is, but im puttin my h22 engine in right now, and im just curious how it can perform
Well I remember seein a dyno that showed the torque bein put down at the wheels through every gear, and in every gear the car would pull the hardest by winding it out to the end of each gear, right before fuel cut. It would probably still accelerate faster a little bit past fuel cut, but I wouldn't think it would too far after it.
safe shift is about 7200- 7300 in most h22's Stock cams dont make any power over 7300, so anything after that is just noise. im sure the 4th gen cams are different, so you may make more/less . looook it up
7400-7600 rpms. The key is to stay in VTEC after each shift. Power is already falling off at this rpm range. Keep in mind, most tachometers read higher than actual rpms.
