best shift points for maximum acceleration?
i've gota 97 gsr
assuming the clutch isn't slipping and you are already at a slow roll in first gear.
wheres the best place to shift in each gear, to get maximum acceleration?
i did some testing tonight, but i think i'm getting too high in the rpm range to get good responce.
anybody have some tips?
(btw, did a search and came up short)

You have to plot out your shift points on a dyno graph by doing runs in each gear, then you can calculate the best shifting point in order to fall into your powerband in the next gear

i shift at or a little past redline, it feels like it's fastest that way, but it might not be...i wish i could get on the dyno to figure it out
Try to keep the secondary intake butterflies open when you shift. Means the engine speed doesn't drop below 5700-5800rpm, practice make perfect. It's harder to do in first since the engine speed climbs so fast, 2nd to 3rd is easier.

but if you actually hit the fuel cutoff, your times will be slower.
want to maximize acceleration? well, shift at the poin to where the next gear is in your power range. so in a GSR, if you shift right at redline, the next gear will usually put you back at the vtec engangment. if you shift at a lower rpm, it will take you some time for you to hit vtec again and will make you lose precious time when racing.
