SOHC mechanical timing

SOHC mechanical timing
Engine is a D16Y8. My understanding is that the 'up' mark on the cam gear is perpendicular to the timing marks that match up with the head.
I set my crank pulley to TDC
Came up to the head and it didn't look right. The green arrow on the cam is the 'up' mark. It doesn't have horizontal marks. The green lines on the sides are the timing marks on the head. The mark on the top is where I think the cam should line up. Is that correct?

Re: SOHC mechanical timing
I was trying to figure that out, but I couldn't get the bolt that hides the key to come loose. I heard jamming the gear with a pry bar and using a breaker bar on the bolt was the way to do it. Sounded fishy, kinda like it would do damage to the gears.
I suspect it is a Z6 cam gear because the Y8 cam gears are much more rare and you have to go through an actual company, not the no name gears like this.
