Electronic VSS
Hello everyone,
I’m having a lot of trouble getting my electronic VSS to function properly with my 90 Civic Hatch. In short, I have to convert to electronic VSS as I can no longer have the mechanical VSS installed.
I purchased a 96-00 electronic VSS from eBay, as well as a plug/pigtail.
How do I hook these up properly? I currently have the Blue wire going to switched 12v, Yellow wire as signal (going to yellow/red wire on PM6 ECU, B16) and the cluster, and Black going to ground. I’m still seeing code 17 for VSS sensor.
I’m tearing my hair out

Re: Electronic VSS
Try switching the blue and black wires - run the blue wire to ground and the black wire to 12V switched. According to this thread, that's how it should be wired (based on wire position in the connector, not color of the wire).
