Default chipped exh. valves?

i have 2 heads 1 off a d15b1 and the other off a d15b2. both have a chipped exhaust valve in the same cylinder. its the second cylinder from the timing gear. what would be causing this??

its burning really hot in that cylinder. to me sounds like you maybe burning rich and your timing is retard.

You have that switched exactly 180*... Burning rich = cool = less power... Retarded ignition = essentially the same thing...

If anything it would be advanced and lean... If running rich was the cause of more heat, then why do you tune a turbo engine a little fat for a street car? Think about it...

are you running open header? you could be burning valves if its open header.
