b16 alternator relocation?
hey guys I was considering putting a b16b CTR engine in my mint stock crx, I heard since its still a b16 its the easiest and most famous swap for this car, now I just have one question, the alternator, when I put the engine in my car I don't have power steering or AC, and I heard that you have to hit a spot in the frame to fit the alernator, is there any company that makes a bracket to relocate it to where the PS or AC was? it would make this swap so much easier. also I have a AEM short ram for my d16a6, is it also compatable with the b16?

also would the H22 alternator relocator work on the b16, it puts the alternator in the place of the AC compressor, the bracket is from innovative

The H22 thing probably wouldnt fit. The Intake should fit problem. Ive never seen nor heard of a bracket to relocate it but IMO it would looks a hell of a lot cleaner knocking out the frame

Re: b16 alternator relocation?
Yeah dude your over thinking the solution. If you want the frame to look clean where you hammer the frame us an Air hammer with a flat face. It will look alot better than just a regular hammer job

Re: b16 alternator relocation?
i did the frame thing on my crx. but i have heard that you can use a smaller belt which wont have as much slack, therefore pulling the alternator closer to the motor and making it unnecessary to hit the frame inward. i havent done this, but i have heard of it being done.
