Transmission Removal need help
I am a new mechanic and appreciate any advice. I am doing a clutch replacement on a 1999 CRV and am having some trouble completely separating the trans from the engine. I have removed all housing bolts and bolts from the mounts. I have checked countless times to make sure all wires or connections are disconnected and there is nothing around the transmission blocking it. I have about a 1/2 gap between the trans and engine but i cant seem to get it any further or to come out. I feel like it is still connected together somehow and stuck on what to do. Please help me!!
Also the transmission and engine are both being supported by jack stands with small 4x4 if that makes a difference to know or not. Any advice helps thank you

Re: Transmission Removal need help
are you removing the engine/transaxle in one pc from the vehicle? I'f not, VERY difficult to take just the transaxle out. there's a 14mm bolt just under the big rear engine mount that's up against the firewall..very easy to miss that bolt.

Sometimes you just need to pry it apart if it has been oxidized together. Also some cars need clutch fork removed first before you separate the trans. Double check all bolts around and read factory service manual.
