z6-b8 mini-me swap with Rod knock!!
Ok I finally got my hatch to crank thanks to mk here on Honda tech. I have a 92 civic hatch with a z6 mini me swap.5 speed . While cranked it makes a ticking noise and when I drive it gets faster and louder. I expect it's the lifters in the head or its my timing chain. Help.
Ok question, I have a 1992 civic cx hatch with possible rod knock so gonna change the pistons. I have a mini me swap b8
Ok question, I have a 1992 civic cx hatch with possible rod knock so gonna change the pistons. I have a mini me swap d15b8 block with z6 head. I want to know what's the best pistons for my block. I want high compression, but stay in the safe zone. I don't plan on boosting it so all motor it what I want. I've already got Brian crower retainers and springs, and ordered a skunk2 camshaft and gear. I know the d15 blocks cylinder walls are thin. Just want some ideas for the pistons.. thanks

Re: z6-b8 mini-me swap with Rod knock!!
Rod knock comes from (imagine this)-- the rod bearings -- not the pistons.
For daily driving it is usually less expensive and more certain to succeed, to swap in a known good used engine than to try to rebuild it yourself.

Idk if you just edited this in or not. A PG6 or P29 piston will do it.
