Would IM add noticeable power to a CX 70hp?
92 CX HB 1.5 SOHC 70HP
I was wondering if a intake manifold off a D16z6 would give me a nice up in power. What else from another engine besides the head would also give me a little something?
I just wanted to do this for temp. because im still saving for a B18 swap.
thanks

Seriously, don't waste the money or time. You're just taking a step back.
But, if you really want, get an ex tranny. That would bring more satisfaction than an intake manifold.

very minimal gains with that 8 valve head. switch it out for a 16v head from a 92+up DX or a vtec ex/si head. the EX/Si tranny would help out a lot too.

There really isn't anything worth doing to that engine. The cheapest/best thing that you could do would be to swap in a z6.

Dont waste your time unless your changing the head.
I rode in a gutted '93 cx hatch with intake, ex intake manifod, dx exhaust manifold, not cat, and ex tranny.
It was slower than a stock dx hatch.

listen to these guys, don't waste your money on that motor. I didn't spend a dime on my VX motor and now that it blew it's getting the motor of my dreams.
