Window won't go up
car :99 honda civic ex
Issue: driverside window rolled down half way, but it won't up at all.
What should i do to diagnose the problem.
Is there a work around for this issue.

Re: (sshaikh01)
I've had this problem twice in my 96 EX...its just gone off track, try and roll it up and watch where the window and the mirror meet...if its outside of it little rubber track, then BOOM there's the problem. Most glass places will do it in little time and charge nothing.
BTW, mine only does it when its really cold out.

your window is off it's rails. Very common for EK"s.
open up the door panel. Pull away the clear plastic sheet. You will see openings near the bottom of your door where the window is held in by in TWO screws. Loosen up the first screw (closer to font of car) and readjust the window back to its rail position. Case close.

Re: (twinbros)
yeah this has happened 3 times to me already in my 99 coupe...
as was said, remove the door panel, and play with the window to realign it. make sure the window channel doesn't get bunched up in one spot, as that will keep causing the window to slip out of its path. i found it easiest to get the window all the way down, reseat it on the bottom and in the channel, and slowly work your way up.
make sure to lube the window channel with silicone spray lubricant. just respray it once in a while and you shouldn't have this problem anymore.
of course, i got my window stuck on great occasions - right as i was heading out on a date, and again while i was moving across town into a new house. luckily no rain either time, but it totally sucked! sorry for the OT, just venting. now i keep it lubed regularly...ugh the window i mean.
