yes it will fit and no you dont need a new speedo gear...
Edit: Ken just said that it does fit, but I need a new final drive. Can anyone confirm this?

type r LSD will fit....but you will need....the carriage bearings (then sealed bearings not the open bearings), and a type r big gear that goes over the lsd.....

U still might want to go with the ITR LSD and to an upgrade to the tranny....might be better then just getting the LSD.

You need to use your original final drive diff gear from your Si tranny...
And as far as bearing go, you can use either a sealed Ball bearing or you can use a Roller taper bearing...

Is the type R final drive better than the Si's? They are both 4.40 right? How is that an upgrade? Thanks.

The final drive ratios are the same they are 4.4 I believe. You will want to use the R bearings. They don't need to be shimmed like the other honda bearings.
