I think I remember hearing that they arent that great because they dont really increase the strength on your diff like a Quaiffe would.

Well.....You should have listened to the wisdom of the board

Not to bust your chops because its clear you realize you made a mistake but lesson learned, There are NEVER any shortcuts. That 'great deal' you think you got usually just ends up costing you more in the end. Most, if not all, of us have been there.

I bought a Quaife for my swap years ago back when they were still $1400 retail. I got it for $850 in a group buy and considdered myself lucky. Now they retail for that and I've seen group buys for around $650.

So sell that piece of **** you just bought, save your lunch $$$, and buy yourself a real LSD. The 'Phantom' must refer to any sense of quality in that thing. I'm amazed they still sell that garbage.

P.S. I HIGHLY recommend the Quaife. Its absolutely bulletproof and you will never regret getting it. If you do get in hit me up for info and I can walk you through installing it. Its really not as frightening as it seems.

Mike

Sell the "Phantom Slip Limited Grip" and save your $$ until you can afford a real LSD, not this POS wannabe.

Too bad, maybe now you'll listen to the people who know and have used the product before you came along...........

Call it a learning experience.

Yeah, sell that ****. That's no LSD, its an LFD (Limited Funds Differential). I've heard way too many bad things about them. All they do is lock up the spider gears. Get a quaife, I've had two and I love them.

i had that in my LS all motor tranny. i got 1.6 60fts with it. so for me it worked. believe me or not, i know it sounds too good to be true but i did.

and a friend of mine got the same thing but for his B16 tranny and it shredded everything... go figure.

so do ya have it for a long time or what??? how does it perform on regular driving??

and is it true that for the first time i should launch the car like 10 to 12 times till it get ready or that`s false?? please inform me about all the good and bad things about it... appresiate it from your part...

Hey man, I am not trying to flame or anything, but you pretty much have the vote of the whole board in the few posts so far.... If you are gonna listen to ONE person over five or six, well then you might as well go ahead and put it in... Run it... See what it does... Hey if you break it you will still have to buy a new diff right? LOL... Good luck whatever you do...
