Well? I am just a bit curious on how much boost you guys are running on your stock z6's...

Any Dynos would be great...

I have made a turbo setup for my friends z6 Hatch and we have the boost set at a conservitive 6psi.. (just because their is no engine managment).. Knowing that all stock D-series rods are weak and they can not support over 220hp.. Just wanted to know if anyone has blown any engines either..

i ran 15psi on a stock d16z6 motor. It was making around 235hp @ the wheels or around 275 @ the crank. The motor held together and didnt break. I was running 104 octane gas race at the time.

With the same engine i was running 12psi around town on 91 octane pump gas. She ran good until i spun a rod bearing at 146,000 miles on the motor. Oh well they are cheap.

I currently have a d16y7 with a z6 head in the car now..its a big pos. I liked my z6 better but it was really cheap.

We made a custom kit for my buddy's z6...totally stock motor, ran good at 8lbs(beat a 95ish cobra). Got greedy and decided to turn up the boost a little...18-20psi later, there was a hole in the block....
