Default MPG on a Turbo Stock motor?

I've search and didn't find anything about turbo and MPG. I have a beater Civic that I would like to retain it's 30 MPG. What MPG would I get if I slap on a turbo kit at about 7 PSI? Stock D16 motor with just a light boost. TIA.

My old Y8 with a Greddy kit hit 30-32MPG with heavy boosting for almost 3 years.

My current stock GSR motor gets about 28MPG with heavy boosting, running pig rich.

If you stay out of boost you could get better gas mileage dont quote me on that but I am getting a few miles better now.

What do you guys consider "heavy" boosting? And from what RPM range is boost? I'm all new to turbo.

shift below 3k you should get better mpg before the turbo starts to spool

it all depends on how its tuned.

tuned well=it could get better mileage (generally because if it has a good turbo kit, its going to breath better than stock, even partial-throttle)

tuned poorly, especially partial throttle=it might be barely driveable.

with my old 720cc injectors, i got 41 mpg on the highway during one trip, and averaged 25-28 mpg around town (with ripping on it occasionally.). car was an ef hatch, engine was a built d16a6, making about 275-280 whp

This was from my old setup on my 99 GSR (stock engine). Simple log manifold setup w/ a Garrett T3/T04E 60 trim .63 ar and 2.5" exhaust.

City

Driving Nicely: 26-28mpg
Driving Fast: 22-25mpg

Interstate

Generally 32-35mpg depending on speed and wind

My boosted D15B7 w/ Greddy kit was doing fairly poor on gas at first, even after the tune... 28 - 30 MPG tops. Once I ventilated my crankcase properly I've had 36 MPG on the first tank without even taking it easy

my old built z6 running 20psi I got 35 mpg...that was calculated with a tank of gas that I even was doing pulls with so probably better than 35mpg if driven easy the whole tank of gas.
