whats the difference on chipping an ecu and chipping and dyno tuning ????????
hey guys....
i need your opinion on whats worth the money...
should i just get my ecu chipped for $75
or get it chipped and dyno tuned for $500 ???
whats the difference in hp??

Ok if you read the link that doood provided you probally wouldnt need to keep bumping this thread. First off to There are alot of diffrent chips out there. Dont buy chips like skunk2 or spoon or mugen or crap like that off ebay. Usually all they do is up your rev limiter and remove the speed govenor. If you want to tune the car get your ecu chipped with something like crome, or you can go into Hondatat and all that, but for you I recomend crome. Now after the chip is installed you can either have a basemap burned on it or get the car tuned. A basemap can be anything from a map with factory settings or maybe the tuner has a map from a previously tuned car with similar mods to your own. This is a good way to free up some power and get the car running a little better. However, if you want the most power out of your setup as possinble after having the ecu chipped get it tuned. This way you can get the most power possible and make sure your A/F ratio is correct and you motor is running at it best while still running safe. Lots of stuff can be modified like your vtec crossover, ignition maps, a/f ratios, injector pulse, everything. If you can afford it I would suggest the chip and tune. Im pretty sure you will gain some power, but you will also have the piece of mind knowing your motor is running correctly.

Phearable.net's ECU's are good stuff.
I had one in my car (rare occurence where we THINK something has gone off inside the ecu) that I had to send back today, but they're checking it over to see if it's an internal fault on the ECU or if there's something wrong with my car.
But when I had it, you can most definitely tell the difference
Example: I used to end 3rd gear at ~100mph.....now I end it in the 105-110 range
