Default What ECU

im planning on gettin a jdm d16b so would i need to get a jdm ecu or could i stick with a usdm one

You mean D15B? You can use the JDM P08, or use a P28 (chipped for the D15B to get the right maps).

You'd need to wire up vtec, yes.

which is better, p28 or p08? what is the difference between the two?

p28 is stock for d16z6, p08 is stock for d15b vtec. Some sensor stuff is different, most notable being the 1 wire that p08 has and the 4 wire the p28 has.

With chipping and 4 wire a p08 can become most anything, the same can be said for a p28.

Run the P28, this way you dont have to run Knock Sensor either. Well I guess both of them you dont know that I think about that. Still P28 is more tunable than any other ECU.

p28 is just as tunable as a p08, there's almost no difference at all once chipped.

whould i need to get the p08 chipped or i can just plug it in, and wire vtec up and it should work for the d15b
