defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
get a helms and go from there. it is in the crank fluctuation sensor. do you have a jdm engine with a usdm ecu? if so there is the problem. jdm engines have no ckf sensor.

if you want to keep it usdm obd2, you need to get a 99-00 si or if it is a c1 or c5 you need a 96-00 oil pump and ckf sensor. you will need the timming cover, the crank sprocket, the woodruff key, all the bolts, and the bracket. all total it is like 400$ and time to take off the oil pan, the oil pump, and re assemble. i have done it but the motor was on the stand. the oil pump is like 90 with my dealer discount, and the ckf is like 230 with my dealer discount. sorry man it isnt cheap.
