ckp sensor help........PLEASE!
I have a 97 b18c (jdm ITR ) in a 96 civic ex. To pass inspection in NC i have to use the stock ECU.....The jdm motor does not come with a ckp sensor but my ex ecu is calling for it........Anyone ran into this yet? I tried to bolt one on...but there is no bracket on the jdm oil pump.........Anyone seen a simulator or have anything worked out to get around this?

that's not a CKP sensor, it's CKF (if you're talking about the oil pump magneto pickup)....
only thing I can think of is to change to a USDM OBD2 oil pump if you want to bolt that sensor on, unless you can find another way to mount it in the proper place - maybe make your own bracket to work on teh OBD1 oil pump....

The CKP (crank position) is located in the distributor. The CKF (crank fluctuation) is located on the oil pump.
If your getting the CKP code, replacing the dizzy sub-assembly is the only way to repair it (assuming the sensor really is bad).
If your getting the CKF code, you need a B-series oil pump that had this sensor (99 Si comes to mind).
There are no simulators available, nor work arounds for it.
