I have a check engine light and this is the code im getting for the CEL (P1337), Its the crankshaft position sensor! I have been told i can do a splicing trick on the ECU to fix this problem but will it get rid of the check engine light? People are saying that this sensor is by the valve cover and other people are saying its in the oil pan connected to the oil pump? Does anyone know the best way to get rid of the CEL so i can get my car inspected!

OK Well i have done the CKF bypass trick and i still have the CEL, i also checked the haynes manual and it says that code P1337 is the crank fluctuation sensor....not the crankshaft position sensor! Ao the guys from autozone were wrong?

IM tottaly stuck here and lost...anyone got any info on what to do? SHould i change the crank fluctuation sensor?

you could try replacing the sensor, although i don't know why the CKF trick didn't clear the CEL.
